IDIOT’S GRACE

Idiot’s Grace is a young winery in the Pacific Northwest founded in 2001 by the McCormick family. The winery is dedicated to producing sincere wines from the incredible potential of the young Columbia Gorge AVA – which was only approved in 2003.

The Idiot’s Grace Cabernet Franc comes from the namesake’s certified-organic, estate Vineyard on the banks of the Columbia River. With its unique exposure – on the Oregon side – this agate-strewn bench of rich clay and loam has proven to be a natural match for Cabernet Franc. The wine displays traits of traditional Cabernet Franc – aromas and flavors that are both classically fragrant and characteristically delicate, reminiscent of the Loire Valley.

Paul Zitarelli of Seattle Magazine/Full Pull has hailed the winery as “an amazing northwest gem, this is a winery that is only going to gain in importance and prominence as the years go on,” and recently raved about the 2013 vintage as “the most exciting Cabernet Franc I’ve ever tasted from the northwest.”
