Camilla Scavino grew up among her family’s vineyards in Grinzane Cavour, in the northeastern corner of the Barolo zone. In 2014, she and her brother Francesco founded La Carlina—now Bricco Carlina—carrying forward the agricultural work of their grandparents and converting the estate to organic farming.

The Camilla Scavino label is her own, tightly focused project, drawn from a selection of the family’s best Nebbiolo parcels along with fruit from Serralunga d’Alba. The approach is natural but precise: organic farming, gentle handling in the cellar, and nothing that obscures the identity of grape or place. These are Barolos built around perfume and transparency rather than sheer mass. Light on their feet. Fine-boned. Unmistakably Piedmontese.

The range moves from a bright, immediately expressive Langhe Nebbiolo through a classic Barolo and a village-designated Barolo del Comune di Grinzane Cavour. At the top sits Castello, from the historic slopes beneath the medieval castle. Camilla’s touch runs through them all—silken fruit, lifted aromatics, finely drawn tannins, and a quiet confidence that makes her one of the most exciting young growers in Barolo.
